Meet the Trio


Welcome to our virtual home from the members of the Galiano Wind Trio 

David Boddington

EWI, Leader

David Boddington has been a freelance bassoonist on the West Coast for over 30 years performing with many chamber music ensembles and Symphony orchestras including Kamloops and the Okanagan Symphony.  His passion is for baroque music and music of the Renaissance period. 

Isaac Bull

Bassoon

Isaac Bull began playing the bassoon at 13 and has been playing for over 30 years in the Vancouver Opera Orchestra and other orchestras and chamber music ensembles throughout British Columbia.

Isaac received his Bachelor of Music in 1991 and Master of Music in 1993 from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. Isaac’s teachers included Christopher Millard, John Gaudette, and Jesse Read.

Stephen Robb

Clarinet / Bass Clarinet

Stephen is an accomplished clarinetist, saxophonist, and pianist performing both classical chamber music and jazz idioms, performing the gamut from classical clarinet, chamber, and orchestral repertoire to jazz standards, original compositions, and free improvisation. His orchestral arrangements have been performed by the Richmond Delta Youth Orchestra, Clyde Mitchell, and the Lions Gate Sinfonia (North Vancouver), Pacific Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Victoria Symphony, Kamloops Symphony, and others. Stephen serves as the Music Director of the Delta Community Music School and the Music Director and Principal Conductor of the Richmond Delta Youth Orchestra.

Donella Robb

Clarinet

 

Donella Robb (BMus, MMus) has been playing clarinet since the age of 12. She has degrees in clarinet performance from the University of British Columbia and the University of Toronto, and primarily studied with Wes Foster and Joaquin ValdepeƱas. She currently performs with the Pacific Symphonic Wind Ensemble and traveled with them to California in 2015 to perform at the WASBE (World Association of Symphonic Bands and Ensembles) Conference. She occasionally freelances in the Vancouver area.
